Developer Experience

## AI-First Development

PyNuxt ships with a structured agent file system — CLAUDE.md, SPEC.md, DESIGN.md — designed to make AI tools like Claude Code instantly productive in your codebase. No more context-dumping before every session. Your agents know the rules, patterns, and constraints from day one.

![Web3 Ready Out of the Box](/_ipx/_/landing-screenshots/web3.png)

Web3

## Web3 Ready Out of the Box

Full Web3 support, front to back. Users get Safe smart wallets powered by Safe with social login fallback, while you get a clean Solidity development environment.

![Pure Python Backend](/_ipx/_/landing-screenshots/python.png)

Backend

## Pure Python Backend

The backend is a clean FastAPI application — typed, async, and built to scale. No framework sprawl. The Nuxt server layer is intentionally thin, handling only what requires server-side cookies. Everything else lives in Python, where it belongs.

![Nuxt-Powered Frontend](/_ipx/_/landing-screenshots/nuxt.png)

Frontend

## Nuxt-Powered Frontend

A fully-typed Nuxt application with SSR, i18n, dark/light theming, and a component system built around reusability. From the layout system to the UI kit, everything is consistent, accessible with ARIA roles, and ready to extend without rewriting what's already there.

![Datadog — No Errors Go Unnoticed](/_ipx/_/landing-screenshots/datadog.png)

Observability

## Datadog — No Errors Go Unnoticed

Datadog and error tracking are wired in from day one. Every exception is captured, tagged, and routed to your Datadog dashboard automatically. No extra instrumentation. No silent failures. Sleep better knowing nothing slips through.

![PostHog — Track Users and LLM Usage](/_ipx/_/landing-screenshots/posthog.png)

Analytics

## PostHog — Track Users and LLM Usage

PostHog is integrated for product analytics and LLM observability. Track feature adoption, user funnels, and AI call performance in one place. Know exactly what your users are doing and how your models are performing — from the very first deploy.

![Deploy on DigitalOcean, Leave Anytime](/_ipx/_/landing-screenshots/digitalocean.png)

Infrastructure

## Deploy on DigitalOcean, Leave Anytime

Terraform configs for DigitalOcean's App Platform are included and ready to apply. But because everything runs in Docker, you're never locked in — migrate to any cloud or self-host with a single compose file. The infrastructure is yours, not the vendor's.

![iOS & Android with Capacitor](/_ipx/_/landing-screenshots/pynuxt-mobile-responsive.png)

Mobile

## iOS & Android with Capacitor

Turn your Nuxt app into a native iOS and Android app — no React Native, no Expo, no rewrite. PyNuxt ships with Capacitor pre-configured, per-environment build scripts, and deep-link support baked in. One codebase, web and mobile from day one.

Integrations

## Stripe, SendGrid, Twilio — and More

PyNuxt bundles the integrations every production app eventually needs: Stripe for payments and subscriptions, SendGrid for transactional email, Twilio for SMS verification, and more. Each is wired into the backend, typed end-to-end, and ready to use without configuration madness.

## Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the package?

You get the complete PyNuxt codebase: a FastAPI Python backend, a Nuxt frontend with SSR and Capacitor support for iOS and Android, EVM smart contracts with Foundry, PostgreSQL, Stripe for payments, SendGrid for email, Twilio for SMS, multiple authentication methods (email/password, Google OAuth, GitHub OAuth, and Web3 wallet), a background worker, an admin panel, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, pre-commit hooks, DataDog monitoring, PostHog analytics, Terraform scripts, and a Docker setup that runs everything locally with a single command. Beyond the code, you also get direct support from me — if something is unclear or you run into trouble, reach out and I will help you get unstuck.

What programming languages are used?

The frontend is TypeScript (Nuxt/Vue.js), the backend is Python (FastAPI), and the smart contracts are Solidity. Infrastructure is managed with Terraform (HCL). Each part lives in its own folder with its own documentation.

Do I need to be proficient in each of them?

No. You only need to be comfortable with the parts relevant to your project. If you are not building anything blockchain-related, you can ignore the Solidity layer entirely. If you just want a standard web app, Python and TypeScript are all you will touch day to day. The layers are cleanly separated so you can work in one without needing deep knowledge of the others.

How efficient are AI tools like Claude Code or Codex with this boilerplate?

Very. The codebase was designed with AI-assisted development in mind from the start. Every section has a CLAUDE.md file that gives AI tools precise context about local conventions and patterns. The code is fully typed and consistently structured, which means AI agents can reason about it accurately and make changes confidently. In practice, you can describe a feature in plain language and have Claude Code implement it across the full stack — frontend, backend, and tests — with minimal correction.

Is it locked to the provided vendors?

Not at all. Every third-party service can be swapped out. The codebase is built on open standards — FastAPI, Nuxt, PostgreSQL, Docker — and the integrations for things like Stripe, SendGrid, or DataDog are isolated and clearly defined. Because everything is fully typed and thoroughly tested, replacing a provider means updating one module and its tests, not untangling hidden dependencies spread across the codebase.

What makes this boilerplate different from others?

A few things stand out. The backend is Python (FastAPI), not yet another Node.js server — so you get the full Python ecosystem, including mature AI and ML libraries, without giving up a modern frontend. Web3 and EVM smart contract support are first-class citizens, not an afterthought. There are no vendor lock-ins: every service is either built on an open standard or is straightforward to replace. And the project reflects nine years of production experience — edge cases that only surface after real users hit your app are already handled.

What if I don't want to use DigitalOcean?

No problem. The Terraform scripts target DigitalOcean, but the entire application runs in Docker containers, so you can deploy it anywhere Docker is supported — AWS, GCP, Azure, Fly.io, Render, or a bare VPS. The Terraform code is also a useful reference if you want to write equivalent infrastructure definitions for another provider.

Can you add features based on my request?

Yes, if the feature would be genuinely useful to most people using this boilerplate. Open an issue or reach out directly, describe what you have in mind, and if it fits the scope of a general-purpose starting point I will build it in. Features that are very specific to a particular business are better implemented in your own project on top of the boilerplate.
